Musicians beware! Jingle houses are ready to eat your soul for $100-$200.

Yes ‘producers’ who create putrid emulations of real music in hope of ‘winning’ between $5k & $50k for that corporate acceptance, will hire struggling musicians and artists to extract as much creative as possible from them for as little as $100 - $200, often hustling the musician with the line, “if it get’s accepted, I’ll give you more money”. Very rarely will these ‘producers’ ever consider sharing their ‘winnings’ with the musician who actually made their two bit piece of shit worthy of acceptance and if the musician, in their right mind, asks for an agreement prior to the session, they are of course a ‘mercenary’ or ‘bread head’. They will also often get you to do multiple takes, of which they use again and again. What musician is going to check whether one of their many takes has been reused for another corporate jingle?! The whole little scam reeks to high heaven and these ‘producers’ should be called ‘reducers’, as they will reduce your musical self-esteem to shreds, while exploiting what you should be holding most dear to you.

Musicians and artists stop allowing yourselves to be raped by these impish corporate whores. These ‘producers’ are usually mediocre musicians gone bad through a coke habbit, general avarice or the pressure of their mortgage or a loan for their latest studio purchase etc. The pressure of life has got to them in one way or another, so they have finally crumbled and are now resorting to eating your musical soul for their own purpo$e$. If you get called by a ‘friend’ to play on a jingle, make sure you agree IN WRITING that if the jingle gets accepted by one of these vile corporations, that you get more than the test fee of $100 -$200 or the likes of. Otherwise, you will most likely get ripped off and they will be taking a holiday or making another studio purchase on the fruits of your musical accomplishment and application. Remember these creeps would not be able to survive without a variety of struggling musicians and artists around, willing to bend over and get fucked for the price of a pair of boots. Don’t do it! Keep your music sacred. If you need money get a job that is honest and doesn’t annihilate your musical integrity. Don’t sell the thing most precious to you for a dime, while making these little yuppie pricks a small fortune.
